GULF SHORES, Ala. -- Indiana Wesleyan had two more NAIA All-American performances with Sarah McBeath in the Women’s 1,500-Meters and Jacob Reinking in the Men’s 5,000-Meters on the final day of competition at the 2017 NAIA T&F National Championships. The women’s team earned a 26th place team finish and the men were 48th.

 

CLERMONT, Fla. -- The Indiana Wesleyan softball season came to a close Saturday morning following a 3-2 loss to No. 4-seed and No. 8-ranked Davenport in a 2017 NAIA World Series elimination game. The Wildcat rally in the 6th inning fell one run shy as the season comes to a close following two one-run losses at the World Series.

 

GULF SHORES, Ala. -- The Indiana Wesleyan Men’s 4x800-Meter Relay team captured a fifth place finish in today’s finals to gain four team points and NAIA All-American status. The Wildcats wrap up the third and final day of the NAIA Track and Field National Championships on Saturday with five event finals.

 

CLERMONT, Fla. -- Southern Oregon scored four times in the 5th and 6th innings to overtake Indiana Wesleyan 4-3 in an opening round game of the 2017 NAIA Softball World Series. IWU drops to the loser’s bracket and plays an elimination game tomorrow at 10 a.m.

Kaisey Carson
Softball

Kaisey Carson was named the 2017 Crossroads League Softball Player of the Year and is a two-time All-Crossroads League First Team performer.

Prior to the NAIA National Championship, Carson hit .508 with 20 HR and 81 RBI. She has a 1.506 OPS and 47 extra base hits on the season. Besides excellence at the plate, Carson was an ace on the mound with a 22-8 record and a 1.78 ERA.
