MARION, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University indoor track and field student-athletes will participate in the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championship this week.

The meet runs March 5-7 at Memorial Center in Johnson City, Tennessee.

Indiana Wesleyan will have women in five events and the men in one.

The lone men's event for the Wildcats at the national meet is the Distance Medley Relay, which has been run this season by freshman Eric Brown, junior Dan Carrick, senior Josh Foss, senior Bryan Hazel and freshman Ethan Naylor.

For the women, sophomore Katelin Morgan will compete in two individual events. Morgan will race in the 60-Meter Hurdles and participate in the Long Jump.

A pair of Wildcats will race in the 5,000-Meter Run. Senior Christy Bea and Freshman Beka Bentle each qualified for the event.

Indiana Wesleyan women will have two relay teams compete as well in the 4 x 800-Meter Relay and the Distance Medley Relay.

The 4 x 800-Meter Relay has been run earlier this year by freshman Amanda Johnson, freshman Brooke McGaughey, freshman Anna Morgan, sophomore Cassidy Wagner and junior Kailee Whitaker.

The Distance Medley Relay has been run by junior Laura Bowman, junior Laura Dziagwa, Johnson, sophomore Ann Marie Lanzetta, McGaughey, Wagner, Whitaker and sophomore Angi Wolgemuth.
