MARION, Ind. -- Antonio Murrell and Zach Coverstone helped lead the Indiana Wesleyan University men's basketball team to one of its most successful seasons ever.

The pair was recognized for their contributions and was named NAIA Division II All-Americans. Murrell was tagged Third Team and Coverstone was named Honorable Mention.

The honor is a first for Coverstone and the second for Murrell. Last season Murrell was selected Honorable Mention.

Murrell was also named to the NAIA All-Tournament Team. The Indianapolis, Indiana native averaged 21.3 points and 4.3 rebounds as he led the Wildcats to the Elite Eight. He shot 61.5-percent (24 of 39) from the field 46.7-percent (7 of 15) from 3-point range.

For the season, Murrell led IWU with 16.0 points per contest while averaging 5.3 boards and 2.7 assists. Murrell shot 49.9-percent from the floor and 41.1-percent from deep.

Murrell finishes his stellar four year career fourth on the program's all-time scoring list with 1,950 points and first all-time with 442 assists.

Coverstone set a new program record in three categories this season. He set the single season block record with 73 swats, besting his own record of 61 last year. Coverstone also became the all-time career leader in blocks with 187 and tied a school record with seven blocks in one game on two different occasions.

The Columbia City, Indiana native scored 13.4 points in addition with 6.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 2.0 blocked shots. Coverstone was sixth in NAIA Division II this season as he shot 61.3-percent from the floor.

The Wildcats were the recipient of the 2009 Emil Liston Team Sportsmanship Award. Indiana Wesleyan was chosen by the tournament committee and members of the media for this honor.

Indiana Wesleyan completed the season with a 29-7 record with a Mid-Central College Conference championship and a run to the NAIA Elite Eight.
