MARION, Ind. -- Beth Anne Nowak has signed to play for the Indiana Wesleyan University women's soccer team in the fall of 2009.

The Springfield, Virginia native is currently a senior at West Springfield High School. She is a three year starter and has garnered several district, regional and metropolitan awards. She was captain of her team which won the Patriot District Championship in 2007.

Recently, Beth Anne was named the MVP at the Maryland State Futbal Classic. Nowak also plays for the Braddock Road Thunder White and has guest played for the Phoenix Club in Michigan.

Coach John Bratcher was very impressed during her tryout in early fall 2008 at Indiana Wesleyan. She cut off the near post and could also get to the back post on crosses. Beth Anne was also very strong at taking goal kicks and at punting.

"She has the whole package that a goalkeeper needs," said Bratcher. "I am very excited with the addition of Beth Anne to our team. She is a classy young lady. We look forward to the fall season with a very strong group of keepers that will be challenging each other."
