MARION, Ind. -- The National Christian College Athletic Association Men's and Women's National Championships opened on Tuesday at the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University.

Tuesday consisted of pool play for the eight teams in each tournament. The tournaments are broke down to four teams in two pools.

The Wildcat women cruised to two victories in the opening day. Indiana Wesleyan defeated North Greenville (S.C.) University 5-0 and completed the day with a 5-0 victory over Cedarville (Ohio) University.

In men's action, Indiana Wesleyan also started with a victory. Indiana Wesleyan defeated Bethel (Ind.) College by a 5-1 margin. The Wildcats next play North Greenville later tonight.

Pool play finishes on Wednesday as the women play Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) University at 9 a.m. and the men battle Campbellsville (Ky.) University at noon. The second half of the day will be the semifinals with championship matches on Thursday.
