MARION, Ind. -- The National Christian College Athletic Association Men's and Women's National Championships have come to a close for the host Indiana Wesleyan University teams.
The Indiana Wesleyan men lost to Campbellsville (Ky.) University by a 5-3 margin in the final match of pool play. Both teams entered the final match 1-1 in the tournament and the winner would advance to the national semifinals.
For the women, Indiana Wesleyan advanced to the semifinals despite dropping their final pool play match to Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) University. ONU earned the 5-1 victory.
Indiana Wesleyan's tournament run came to a close in the semifinal round. Dallas Baptist (Texas) University pulled out a 5-2 victory to advance to the national championship match on Thursday.
Both Indiana Wesleyan teams will next play at the NAIA National Championships in Mobile, Alabama beginning on Tuesday, May 12.
