MARION, Ind. -- Three members of the Indiana Wesleyan University baseball team earned Mid-Central College Conference and National Christian College Athletic Association Midwest Region accolades.
Senior centerfielder Kory Hollensteiner, freshman catcher Alex Ridlen and senior starting pitcher Joshua Worrell were named MCC All-Conference and NCCAA Midwest All-Region.
Hollensteiner led the Wildcats in hits (63), runs (34), doubles (13), triples (5), home runs (2), walks (28) and slugging percentage (.535). He hit .366 on the season with 19 stolen bases.
Ridlen was tops on the team in batting average (.410), on-base percentage (.465) and RBIs (34). The catcher had six stolen bases and four doubles on the season in 48 games.
Worrell was the ace of the pitching staff with a 3.32 ERA and a 7-6 record. He allowed just 54 hits in 78-2/3 innings pitch while striking out 77. Worrell held opposing hitters to a .194 batting average against.
