MARION, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University freshman goalkeeper Beth Ann Nowak was honored as the Mid-Central College Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
The honor is the first for Nowak and the first for the Wildcats this season.
Nowak earns the accolades following a 3-0 week for Indiana Wesleyan. During the three game stretch, Nowak and the Wildcats allowed only one goal as she compiled a .909 save percentage and a 0.37 goals against average.
Two of the victories were shutouts, both by 4-0 margins against Cedarville (Ohio) University and Hannibal-LaGrange (Mo.) College. Indiana Wesleyan completed the week with a 2-1 win over Asbury (Ky.) College.
