MARION, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University golf chimes in at No. 16 in the current Golf World/NIKE Golf NAIA Coaches' Poll for the fall season.
Golf World, NIKE and the Golf Coaches' Association of America sponsor the poll which appears in Golf World magazine. The current poll is published in the October 19 edition.
The Wildcats moved up eight spots from the last rankings to earn the No. 16 spots in the nation following a strong fall showing highlighted by three invitational wins. IWU completed the season with an impressive third place at the NAIA Preview Invitational in Silvis, Illinois.
University of British Columbia is the top team in the ranking with 227 points while Oklahoma City (Okla.) University is second with 226 points. Indiana Wesleyan gained 82 points.
The fall season is complete for the Wildcats and the team will resume play in the spring season.
