MARION, Ind. -- Erik Johnson and Spenser Lang earned a clean sweep for Indiana Wesleyan University men's soccer in the Mid-Central College Conference weekly honors.

Johnson was tagged MCC Offensive Player of the Week and Lang was named MCC Defensive Player of the Week.

Indiana Wesleyan competed in one match during the period and captured a thrilling 3-2 double overtime victory over University of Saint Francis (Ind.) in the MCC Tournament First Round. IWU advances to the MCC Tournament Semifinals this coming Saturday.

Johnson scored two of the three Wildcat goals in the tournament victory. The sophomore forward scored the two goals less than five minutes apart which at the time tied the match and temporarily gave IWU the lead.

Lang earns the honor for the fourth time this season after making four saves in net. The senior goalkeeper made two huge saves during the second half to help Indiana Wesleyan advance to the semifinals.

The Wildcats will next play on Saturday, November 7 at Goshen (Ind.) College in the MCC Tournament Semifinals.
