MARION, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University women's soccer made a move upwards in the NAIA Top-25 Coaches Poll for the second consecutive week and now sits at No. 11 in the rankings.
Following a four spot jump last week, Indiana Wesleyan is up three more spots in the latest edition of the rankings and is just one spot out of the top-10.
Last week, Indiana Wesleyan clinched a share of the Mid-Central College Conference regular season championship with a 7-0 win over Goshen (Ind.) College on Tuesday. IWU opened the MCC Tournament on Saturday and advanced to the semifinals courtesy of a 3-0 win over Bethel (Ind.) College in the opening round.
Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) College remains at the top of the poll with 15 of 21 first place votes for 586 points. Lee (Tenn.) University is second at 576 points with five first place votes. Concordia (Ore.) University is sixth place with 503 points and earned the final first place vote.
Indiana Wesleyan totaled 359 points in the poll.
The Wildcats will host Spring Arbor (Mich.) University at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 7 at Wildcat Field in the MCC Tournament Semifinals.
