Women's Cross Country - Thu, Nov 5, 2009

MARION, Ind. -- The Indiana Wesleyan University women's cross country team remained No. 14 in the latest edition of the NAIA Top-25 Coaches' Poll releases Wednesday evening.

It is the second straight week the Wildcats were No. 14 following seven consecutive weeks of being in the top-10. The Wildcats did not compete since the last rankings were announced.

Azusa Pacific (Calif.) University is the unanimous No. 1 selection again with all 23 first place votes. Azusa Pacific earned 653 points. California State University-San Marcos is second with 632 points and Simon Fraser (B.C.) University is third at 611 points.

Indiana Wesleyan totaled 376 points.

Both cross country teams will compete this Saturday at the Mid-Central College Conference Championships. The races will be held at Fort Wayne, Indiana with the women's race at 11 a.m. and the men's race at 12 noon.
