Men's Cross Country - Sat, Nov 7, 2009

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University men's cross country raced to a third place finish at the Mid-Central College Conference Championship held in Fort Wayne, Indiana on Saturday.

Marian (Ind.) University won the title with 38 points while Taylor (Ind.) University was runner-up with 59 points. Indiana Wesleyan ended the meet with 76 points.

Ethan Naylor had a strong race to pace the Wildcats. He finished the 8,000-meter course in a time of 26 minutes 31 seconds to finish in third place. Joel Liechty was next on the team with a 10th place finish in a time of 27:15.

The next three Wildcats to score finished in a pack. Andrew Albert raced to a 20th place finish and earned a time of 27:58, Ethan Laudermilch was 21st in a finishing time of 28:05 and Mason Webb was the final scorer for Indiana Wesleyan in 22nd place and a time of 28:07.

Kyle Murray of Marian was the individual championship as he ended the race in a time of 26:20.

Indiana Wesleyan will next compete at the NCCAA National Championships. The meet will be held in Cedarville, Ohio with a race time of 11 a.m.
