MARION, Ind. -- Shelby Newberry will continue her volleyball career at Indiana Wesleyan University in the fall of 2010.

Newberry is a five foot 10 inch outside hitter from Weatherford High School in Weatherford, Texas.

She was a team captain for her high school team in 2009 in addition to being the team captain on her club team, 900 Volleyball Club. In 2008 Newberry took part in the Junior Olympics Girls Championships. She also attended the 2007 High Performance Camp and the TCU Volleyball Camp, where she was named Camper of the Week.

Newberry earned All-District 3-5A Second Team honors her junior season and twice was named Academic All-District.

Newberry will study Pre-Med while at Indiana Wesleyan.
