MARION, Ind. -- Sarah Richert has signed an athletic letter of intent to continue her women's tennis career in the fall of 2010 at Indiana Wesleyan University.

Richert is from Greenwood, Indiana and is a member of the No. 1-doubles team at center Grove high School.

"I am very happy that Sarah chose IWU to continue her athletic and academic careers," said Indiana Wesleyan head coach Terry Porter. "She is a quality Christian young lady with a lot of leadership ability. Her experience in playing both singles and doubles will help strengthen our team over the next four years."

Richert was All-State Honorable Mention Doubles in 2008 and All-County Doubles Team of the Year, All-District First Team and All-State Second Team Doubles in 2009. She also received the award as the most competitive player on her team. She plays both singles and doubles in USTA tournaments.

Richert has been on the honor roll all four years and is the leader of FCA at Center Grove High School. She will major in nursing at Indiana Wesleyan.
