MARION, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University opened the 2010 indoor track season on Saturday by hosting the IWU Classic at the Indoor Sports Complex.

The meet was a non-scoring meet with nine programs traveling to Marion to compete.

Highlighting the day for the Wildcats was sophomore Eric Brown. He set a new IWU Varsity record in the 400-meter run with a time of 51.40 seconds, besting the 15 year old record of Joshua Piquard of 51.50 seconds in 1995.

Indiana Wesleyan will host the IWU Invitational next weekend on Saturday, January 30 in the Indoor Sports Complex.
