MARION, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University will start the season ranked No. 15 according to the NAIA Women's Tennis Coaches' Top-25 Preseason Poll.
The Wildcats finished 2009 ranked No. 16 after earning a bid to the NAIA National Championships.
Indiana Wesleyan finished the fall season 11-0 and 8-0 in the Mid-Central College Conference. IWU completed the fall with the MCC Tournament championship.
IWU totaled 172 points in the ranking and is the lone MCC program in the top-25.
Six-time defending champion Auburn (Ala.) University-Montgomery remains the No. 1 team in the nation with 10-of-12 first place votes for 311 points. Fresno Pacific (Calif.) University is second with 303 points and the other two first place votes.
Indiana Wesleyan will begin the spring season on March 20 with a home date versus St. Mary's (Ind.) College at the Sutter Tennis Center.
