MARION, Ind. -- Austin Neadstine has committed to play for the Indiana Wesleyan University baseball team beginning in the 2010-11 season.
Neadstine is a middle infielder from Monroe, Indiana. He is currently a senior at Adams Central High School.
"I am extremely excited about Austin's decision to attend IWU," said Indiana Wesleyan head coach Chad Newhard."He has played a lot of high caliber baseball in the past couple of years both at Adams Central and with the Fort Wayne Cubs."
In 2009 Neadstine was honored as an All-Conference and All-District First Team selection. He is a two time captain and a three year member of the National Honor Society. Neadstine plays summer baseball for the Fort Wayne Cubs.
"He showed me that he has a high commitment level to the game of baseball and spends a lot of extra time on his own improving his game," stated Newhard. "Austin is also a high caliber student and is a man of high character.He will be a tremendous fit here at IWU."
Indiana Wesleyan opens its season this weekend at the Bryan College Tournament in Dayton, Tennessee.
