MARION, Ind. -- Rachael Heiniger will continue her women's tennis career with Indiana Wesleyan University in the fall of 2010.

Heiniger is from Munster, Indiana and has played each year for the Mustangs' varsity tennis team and has made it to the state finals in her first three years, finishing second in 2007 and 2008, and third in 2009.

She owns a doubles record of 51-11 over her first three years and was named All-State First Team in 2009. Heiniger received the Pride, Hustle, Desire Award from her team last season.

"I am very excited to have Rachael join our team next year," said Indiana Wesleyan head coach Terry Porter. "She is a complete player on the court and a wonderful young lady both on and off the court. She will be a great teammate and wants what is best for her team as was shown in high school when she transitioned from singles to doubles last year."

As she approaches her final season this spring as a Mustang, Heiniger hopes to play singles and help her team make another bid for a trip to Indianapolis for the state tournament in June.

Heiniger will pursue a Business Marketing major while attending Indiana Wesleyan.
