MARION, Ind. -- Kristine Egebrecht has decided to continue her volleyball playing career at Indiana Wesleyan University for the fall of 2010.

She is a six foot middle hitter from West Chicago, Illinois and will graduate from Wheaton Academy.

At Wheaton Academy, Egebrecht participated in three sports during her four years, earning multiple awards throughout her playing career.She was the co-captain of her volleyball team her final two seasons of competition and in her senior season was named the team MVP and also named to the All-Conference and All-Area teams.In 2008, Egebrecht received All-Area Honorable Mention for volleyball and 2010 All-Area Honorable Mention for basketball.

In the classroom Egebrecht has been named to the Wheaton Academy Honor Roll each semester of her high school career and been a member of the National Honor Society.

"I am thrilled that Kristine has chosen IWU to continue her playing career," said Indiana Wesleyan head coach Candace Moats. "Kristine is a hard worker that will strengthen the middle of the court and help the Wildcats return to the National Tournament. I am excited to watch Kristine continue to develop throughout her career at Indiana Wesleyan."
