TOLEDO, Ohio -- Indiana Wesleyan University outdoor track and field competed against NCAA Division I, II, III student-athletes among others on Friday at the Toledo Tune-Up hosted by Toledo (Ohio) University.

The Wildcat men and women captured seven event victories out of the 38 on Friday. In addition, IWU alum John Bowman won the Men's Discus with a throw of 185 feet three inches, winning by nearly 17 feet.

Freshman Seth Virgil won the Men's Long Jump with a mark of 22-11.75 feet and sophomore Nick Brown earned first in the Men's High Jump at 6-7 feet.

Sophomore Eric Brown won the Men's 400-Meter Dash in a time of 49.32 seconds and freshman Andy Lipiec earned the victory in the Men's 110-Meter Hurdles in 15.60 seconds. Freshman Andrew Albert earned a win in the Men's 3,000-Meter Steeplechase in 9:56.88.

Sophomore Beka Bentle crossed the line first in the Women's 5,000-Meter Run in 18:17.10 while junior Sarah Moyer won the Women's 3,000-Meter Steeplechase with a finishing time of 12:15.96.
