MARION, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University senior Austin Conroy has earned some hardware after helping the men's golf team to a 14th place finish at the NAIA National Championship last week at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois.

Conroy was named to the NAIA PING All-American First Team which was released this weekend.

The Kansas City, Missouri native was just one of 10 student-athletes to be honored on the First Team. Conroy finished tied for 14th at the NAIA National Championship with a 12-over par, 296 (73-77-78-68) during the four round national meet.

Conroy was helped the Wildcats win five invitationals this season and runner-up at four others. The senior was medalist at two tournaments this season, winning the IWU Fall Invitational with a three-under par, 141 and the NAIA Preview Invitational with a one-under par, 141.

This June, Conroy will compete for Team USA in the 2010 World University Games in Malaga, Spain. He is one of three Team USA members to compete.
