MARION, Ind. -- The NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships came to a conclusion on Saturday on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University.

Saturday saw three Wildcats compete in their respective events.

Junior Kelsey Devereaux placed 9th in the Women's Marathon with a time of 3:23:07. Her finish left her one spot away from receiving more points towards the overall team standings.

Senior Laura Bowman competed in the semifinals of the Women's 200-Meter Dash. However, she did not advance to the finals with a time of 24.77 seconds.

Freshman Seth Virgil's time of 21.73 seconds in the semifinals of the Men's 200-Meter Dash did not advance him to the finals.

The Indiana Wesleyan University men's team placed 31st with 10 points, out of 69 teams that scored. The Wildcats received their points from senior Thomas Collet's effort in the long jump. Collet's mark of 24-11.75 earned him the NAIA National Championship in the Men's Long Jump.

Wayland Baptist (Texas) won their first ever men's NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships with a score of 70 points.

The Indiana Wesleyan University women's team placed 43rd with five points, out of 65 teams that scored.
