MARION, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University pitcher Sam Lewis will pitch in the New York Collegiate Baseball League All-Star Game on July 12 in upstate New York.

The NYCBL is a wood bat development league for professional baseball. The league gives collegiate players who have not yet signed professional contracts the chance to further their skills, gain experience with wooden bats and be seen by scouts.

Lewis is a right handed pitcher and completed his freshman season at Indiana Wesleyan in May. He is currently pitching for the Alfred Thunder in the NYCBL and is 3-2 with a 3.86 ERA. Lewis has allowed just 36 hits in 42 innings pitched.
