MARION, Ind. -- Bill Beekman's title has been changed from assistant coach to associate head coach of the Indiana Wesleyan University women's tennis team. Beekman is starting his 10th season with the team.

"Coach Beekman is involved in all areas of our tennis team," said Indiana Wesleyan head coach Terry Porter. "His knowledge and experience in coaching tennis goes beyond the normal duties of being an assistant coach. He is heavily involved in the recruitment process which is really important at the college level."

Indiana Wesleyan has won the Mid-Central College Conference championship in each of Beekman's nine seasons with the team while advancing to the NAIA National Championship Tournament.

"Not many head coaches have a Hall of Fame coach as an assistant coach," added Porter. "I am proud to have him as an associate head coach of the Wildcats."
