UPLAND, Ind. -- The Indiana Wesleyan University volleyball team defeated host Taylor (Ind.) University 3-2 to capture their sixth consecutive Mid-Central College Conference Tournament championship.
Indiana Wesleyan won by scores of 21-30, 31-29, 30-18, 28-30, 15-11.
Junior Rebekah Reichard tallied 28 kills and 26 digs to lead the Wildcats. Fellow junior Krystin Coleman earned 33 assists while freshman Kelley Morris contributed 26 digs.
Senior Shannon Millen produced 13 kills and two blocks and junior Erin Morris accumulated 17 kills with two blocks.
Indiana Wesleyan improves to 32-7 for the season and are currently riding a 10 game winning streak. Taylor falls to 32-10.
Next up for the Wildcats is the NAIA Region VIII Championships. The regional will be held at Madonna (Mich.) University in Livonia, Michigan next weekend on November 16-17.
