LEVONIA, Mich. -- The Indiana Wesleyan University volleyball team defeated Bethel (Ind.) College 3-0 on Saturday afternoon to advance to the NAIA Region VIII championship match.
The Wildcats will battle host Madonna (Mich.) University in the regional championship with a trip to the NAIA national tournament on the line.
Indiana Wesleyan defeated Bethel for the third time this season by scores of 30-25, 30-18, 30-28.
Junior Rebekah Reichard earned 13 kills and two aces while freshman Kelley Morris also collected two aces along with 19 digs. Junior Erin Morris had 13 kills and junior Krystin Coleman added 20 assists.
Indiana Wesleyan improves to 33-7 for the season. The Wildcats are winners of 12 straight matches.
Madonna advanced to the regional championship with a 3-1 victory over Indiana Tech.
The two teams will compete at 5 p.m. tonight, Saturday, November 17 with the winner advancing to the NAIA national tournament in Columbia, Missouri.
