MARION, Ind. (Box Score) -- Indiana Wesleyan University volleyball made quick work of visiting Bethel (Ind.) College on Saturday afternoon in Luckey Arena.
The Wildcats cruised past the Pilots in three games by scores of 25-14, 25-15, 25-15.
IWU was very efficient attacking on Saturday with a .420 kill percentage as a team. Sophomore middle hitter Kristine Egebrecht had the biggest day offensively for the Wildcats with team highs of 10 kills and a .625 attack percentage and junior outside hitter Brooke Atwell added nine kills and a .500 hitting percentage.
Senior outside hitter Kate Denlinger contributed eight kills with a .471 kill percentage while junior setter Yui Iwase amassed 36 assists. Denlinger also added three service aces for the Wildcats.
Indiana Wesleyan totaled seven blocks in the match with Egebrecht assisting on four. Sophomore outside hitter Shelby Newberry had a solo block while Atwell, Iwase and senior middle hitter Lauryn Barfell each assisted on two blocks. Senior libero Kelsey Masuda collected 13 digs.
The Wildcats improve to 2-1 in the Mid-Central College Conference and 8-3 overall. The Pilots drop to 2-1 in the conference and 7-4 on the season.
