MARION, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University men's golf sits third of 11 teams following the first round of play at the annual IWU Fall Invitational held at Meshingomesia Country Club in Marion.
Bethel (Ind.) College holds a six stroke lead on the field with a 295. Holy Cross (Ind.) College is second with a score of 301, Indiana Wesleyan holds the third spot at 306 with Huntington (Ind.) University close behind in fourth at 307.
Wildcat senior Matt Milholland had the low round for Indiana Wesleyan with a 74. Freshman Cameron Rutherford was two strokes behind at 75 and sophomore Tyler Keith shot a 78. Junior Aaron Cecil was the final scorer for Indiana Wesleyan in the opening round with a score of 79. Sophomore Zach Kinch also played for IWU and shot an 80.
The 11-team invitational will play the final 18-holes on Tuesday morning.
