Women's Cross Country - Wed, Oct. 19, 2011

MARION, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University women's cross country improved one spot this week to No. 18 in the NAIA Women's Cross Country Coaches' Top-25 Poll which was released Wednesday evening.

The Wildcats moved up one spot from No. 19 last week and gained 261 points in the ranking. IWU was off last week and did not compete.

Azusa Pacific (Calif.) University retained the top spot in the ranking with 652 points and 21 of the 23 first place votes. Cal State-San Marcos held its No. 2 ranking with 633 points and the final two first place votes while University of British Columbia chimed in at No. 3 with 584 points.

Indiana Wesleyan returns to competition this weekend at the Southeast Classic in Mount Berry, Georgia. The women run at 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 22.
