MUNCIE, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University men's golf started the 2012 spring season in fine form on Tuesday with a match play victory over Taylor (Ind.) University at The Player's Club in Muncie, Indiana.

The Wildcats won the competition 4-1. IWU shot well the entire day and its top four golfers combined for a team score of 292 with each member of the quartet shooting 77 or better.

Senior Matt Milholland earned the low score for the Wildcats as he carded a 70 on the par-72, 6,934 yard course. Sophomore Zach Kinch was one stroke behind Milholland with a one-under par, 71. Freshman Cameron Rutherford was third for the Wildcats with a 74 while senior Trey Rohrman was next at 77.

Indiana Wesleyan will compete in its first spring tournament on March 26-27 at the Thrill on the Hill. The tournament will be played at the Donald Ross Hill Golf Course in French Lick, Indiana.
