MARION, Ind. -- The Indiana Wesleyan University women's basketball program has added Erika Isham for the 2012-13 season.
Isham will be a sophomore with three years of eligibility after transferring from NCAA Division II Bellarmine (Ky.) University. She attended Olivet High School in Olivet, Michigan and she is a 6-2 center who averaged 12.3 points and 9.4 rebounds as a senior at Olivet.
"The campus is beautiful and I love the Christian atmosphere," said Isham of why she chose Indiana Wesleyan. "Everyone was so friendly."
Isham helped lead Olivet to the Kalamazoo Valley Association conference championship and Class B District and Regional championships. She was named KVA All-Conference, Lansing State Journal Class B All-Area First Team, and Battle Creek Enquirer All-Area Dream Team. Isham was also invited to compete in the Lansing/Jackson All-Area Basketball Classic.
While at Indiana Wesleyan Isham intends to study Exercise Science as her major.
Indiana Wesleyan finished 33-3 last season and advanced to the NAIA National Championship quarterfinals. After maintaining the No. 1 spot in the national poll most of the year, IWU was ranked No. 4 in the final postseason ranking.
