MARION, Ind. -- The Indiana Wesleyan University men's golf team will bring in Trey Cox for the 2012-13 season.
Cox is a senior from Lexington Dunbar High School in Lexington, Kentucky. The incoming freshman averaged a 73 on the links as a high school senior.
"I am excited about this signing," said Indiana Wesleyan head coach Steve Evans. "Trey has been recruited by many colleges, including some Big Ten and Pac 12 conference schools. He brings loads of tournament experience, many individual wins, and is expected to step in and contribute right away."
Cox has carded a first and second place finish in the Lexington City Championship, was the Lexington high school match play champion as a junior, has been honored as an All-Conference selection the past three years, and won 12 times last season as a senior.
