MARION, Ind. --Pete Kaufmann will continue his golf career in the fall of 2012 as a member of the Indiana Wesleyan University men's golf team.
Kaufmann will be a freshman after graduating from Davenport Central High School in Davenport, Iowa. He was named All-Conference three times and also won the Davenport City Championship.
"I am excited to add Pete Kaufmann as our latest signee for the incoming freshmen class," said Indiana Wesleyan head coach Steve Evans. "Pete is a three year All-Conference team member and Conference All-Academic award winner. He has been team medalist in all Tournaments his senior year and was overall medalist in two others. Last year he had several top-10 finishes in the Plantations Junior Golf Tour and Iowa Junior PGA events.
In addition to success on the links, Kauffmann is a member of National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and attended Heritage Wesleyan Church.
The 2012-13 season for Indiana Wesleyan will begin on August 31 at the Lou Collins Invitational in Battle Creek, Michigan.
