GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Indiana Wesleyan University women's tennis made some history this weekend at the ITA Midwest Regional Tournament as both the singles and doubles finals were completely comprised of Indiana Wesleyan student-athletes.
Freshman Katie Wilson defeated her teammate Rachael Heiniger 3-6, 6-2, 10-5 in the finals of the singles tournament. Seniors Andrea Meyering and Lauren Wilson won the doubles tournament with a 9-7 victory over the team of Katie Wilson and sophomore Kim Mella.
As winners of the ITA Midwest Regional Tournament, Katie Wilson, Lauren Wilson, and Andrea Meyering will all travel to Mobile, Alabama on October 11-13 to compete in the Wilson/ITA National Championship Tournament. The winners from all eight regions will compete for the national title.

Sarah Richert: Consolation Semifinals - Won 6-4, 6-0 over her Taylor (Ind.) opponent, Consolation Finals - Lost 1-6, 4-6 to #11 seeded Taylor opponent
