
ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The Indiana Wesleyan University volleyball team went unbeaten in pool play at the NCCAA National Championships.
The Wildcats completed Pool A with a 3-0 victory over host Northwestern (Minn.) College. Indiana Wesleyan defeated Southwestern Assemblies of God (Texas) University and Bryan (Tenn.) College by identical 3-0 scores yesterday.
With the victory, the Wildcats march on to the NCCAA semifinal round. As winners of Pool A, Indiana Wesleyan will battle the runner-up of Pool B, which has not yet been determined.
A trio of juniors led Indiana Wesleyan against Northwestern. Rebekah Reichard collected 14 kills and four aces, Krystin Coleman added 20 assists and Christy Beam earned three blocks.
Freshman Kelley Morris led the team with 17 digs.
Indiana Wesleyan improves to 36-8 this season as the Wildcats have now won 15 of their last 16 matches. Northwestern falls to 22-15.
The Wildcats return to action in the NCCAA semifinals at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 1. IWU will play the No. 2 seed from Pool B.
