MARION, Ind. -- The Crossroads League Men's Soccer Tournament begins on Saturday and Indiana Wesleyan University is in the driver's seat as the No. 1-seed in the postseason tournament.

By earning the top-seed, Indiana Wesleyan will play at Wildcat Field as long as they continue to play in the tournament. The Crossroads League First Round match will be at 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 27 against No. 8-seed Huntington (Ind.) University.

The Wildcats defeated the Foresters 1-0 in the teams' only meeting on September 29 at the Fort Wayne Sports Club. Tad Glibert scored the only goal of the match in the eighth minute off an assist from Keaton Albert. The Foresters were limited to just five shots in the match and none of them were on goal.

Indiana Wesleyan finished regular season play with a 12-2-3 mark and won the Crossroads League with a 7-1-1 record. The home field advantage will be critical for Indiana Wesleyan during the league tournament as the Wildcats were 5-0-3 at Wildcat Field.

An Indiana Wesleyan win on Saturday would move the team into the semifinals on Saturday, November 3. IWU would then play the winner of No. 4-seed Mount Vernon Nazarene (Ohio) University and No. 5-seed Marian (Ind.) University.

The other First Round matches on the other half of the bracket pits No. 2-seed Spring Arbor (Mich.) University versus No. 7-seed Bethel (Ind.) College and No. 6-seed Taylor (Ind.) University at No. 3-seed Grace (Ind.) College.

Tickets for the match will be $5 for adults and $2 for students. Children age six and under are free. The only pass that can be accepted during postseason tournament play is the NAIA Pass.
