MARION, Ind. -- Freshman Eva Delk of the Indiana Wesleyan University women’s tennis team has been named the NCCAA Student-Athlete of the Week, according to the association.

Delk earns the award for the second time this year as she was unbeaten in four matches.

Against Huntington (Ind.) University, Delk won 6-3, 6-1 in singles and was victorious in double play by an 8-3 margin. The team victory clinched the Mid-Central College Conference championship for the Wildcats, the 16th consecutive title for the women’s tennis program.

On Homecoming versus Indiana Tech, Delk earned a 6-0, 6-1 in singles competition and won again in doubles by a score of 8-2.

Delk competes in No. 2-singles for the Wildcats and pairs with fellow freshman Lisa Massey as the IWU No. 2-doubles team.

Indiana Wesleyan is 13-0 this season and is scheduled to compete in the Mid-Central College Conference tournament beginning Thursday, October 11 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
