Greenville, SC (December 17, 2007) – Indiana Wesleyan University women’s soccer coach Dr. John Bratcher was named 2007 NCCAA Coach of the Year by the National Christian College Athletic Association Monday.
Bratcher led the Wildcats (21-2-1) to the 2007 NCCAA National Championship in November after winning the Mid-Central College Conference regular season and tournament championships.
This is the third time Bratcher earned the NCCAA Coach of the Year award. Bratcher last won the national honor in 1985 when he was the men’s soccer coach at Grand Rapids Baptist, which is now Cornerstone University. He also won in 1982 at Grand Rapids Baptist.
Bratcher is the first coach to ever win the NCCAA Coach of the Year honors both as a men’s soccer coach and women’s soccer coach.
