MARION, Ind. -- Seniors Rae and Rebecca Brandes have been selected to the Capitol One Academic All-District Women’s Volleyball Team, announced today by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

The Capitol One All-American program blends student-athletes work in both the classroom and on the field of play. Nominated student-athletes must be a starter or important reserve and maintain at least a 3.30 GPA. Game statistics and academic success are both considered by the voting CoSIDA members.

The Brandes sisters are two of the 10 selections in District 2. The selections were not based on position and were only from NAIA schools in the Indiana, Kentucky, and Illinois region. Rae and Rebecca are now eligible for the Capitol One Academic All-American Team which will be released later this year.
