MARION, Ind. -- Seven Indiana Wesleyan University men’s tennis student-athletes have been recognized by the NAIA and NCCAA national affiliations for their work on and off the courts this season.
Topping the list for the Wildcats is Brandon Dubuque and Kyle Johnson. Johnson was listed as NAIA All-American Second Team and NCCAA All-American First Team while Dubuque was named NAIA All-American Honorable Mention and NCCAA All-American Second Team.
A total of three Wildcats were recognized on the NCCAA All-American Second Team. Joining Dubuque on the national team was teammates Leonard Matthews and Gavin White.
Indiana Wesleyan had three student-athletes named NCCAA Scholar-Athletes for their work inside of the classroom. The three Wildcats to earn high marks as Scholar-Athletes were Alan Murphy, Adam Wroughton, and Drew Schoonmaker.
Indiana Wesleyan ended the 2013-14 season with a 13-12 record. The Wildcats tied for the Crossroads League regular season championship with a 7-1 tally and advanced to the NCCAA National Championship Tournament in Mobile, Alabama.
