MARION, Ind. -- The NAIA Women’s Tennis Coaches’ Postseason Top-25 Poll has been released and Indiana Wesleyan University was tied for No. 15 with Concordia (Calif.).
Indiana Wesleyan moved up three spots from No. 18 in the final regular season poll with a strong showing at the NAIA National Championship last week in Mobile, Alabama. Indiana Wesleyan defeated then No. 13-ranked Coastal Georgia 7-2 before falling to eventual national champion Georgia Gwinnett in the NAIA Second Round.
Georgia Gwinnett is the No. 1-ranked team with 343 points and all 13 first place votes. Embry-Riddle (Fla.) is second at 332 points and Xavier (La.) is third at 318 points. Indiana Wesleyan and Concordia tied for No. 15 in the poll with 187 points.
The Wildcats wrapped up the season with a 26-5 record and secured the program’s 22nd consecutive Crossroads League regular season championship with a perfect 8-0 mark. IWU competed in both the NCCAA and NAIA National Championships in May.
