Baltimore, MD (January 22, 2008) – Indiana Wesleyan University men’s soccer NAIA All-American David Reed was recognized as a member of the NAIA All-American Third Team at the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Convention Saturday.

Reed is the second IWU men’s soccer player to be named to one of the NAIA All-American teams.

“I’m extremely proud of David Reed’s accomplishments,” said IWU head coach Mark Castro. “He has been an outstanding captain and leader. He has significantly helped build this program and has helped bring national recognition to Indiana Wesleyan University.”

Former United States Men’s National Team captain Claudio Reyna and 1999 Women’s World Cup winner Kristine Lilly presented Reed with the award, which recognizes Reed as one of the top 33 players in NAIA.

Reed was named to the NAIA All-American Third Team back on Nov. 20, but he did not receive his plaque until this weekend.
