UPLAND, Ind. -- Junior Emily LaSala and freshman Katelin Morgan qualified for the NAIA national meet to highlight the Indiana Wesleyan University women’s track and field meet on Saturday at Taylor University in Upland, Indiana.

LaSala automatically qualified for the 3,000-meter run at nationals as she surpassed the qualifying time with a finish of 10 minutes 33.23 seconds. LaSala placed second in the event.

Morgan leaped to the national meet with a mark of 17 feet 6 1/2 inches in the long jump. Morgan earned second at the meet.

The NAIA national meet will be held in Johnson City, Tennessee on March 7-8.

Indiana Wesleyan will return to action at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 9 as the Wildcats host the IWU Invitational in the Indoor Sports Complex.
