
FINDLAY, Ohio -- The Indiana Wesleyan University women’s tennis team earned a convincing 8-1 win over University of Findlay (Ohio) on Friday afternoon in Findlay, Ohio.
Indiana Wesleyan swept singles competitions as junior Julia Hedgebeth (6-2, 6-2), freshman Eva Delk (6-1, 6-3), freshman Lisa Massey (6-0, 6-2), senior Kristi Haddad (6-0, 6-1) sophomore Courtney Kooyers (6-2, 6-0) and freshman Caitlin McGuire (6-2, 6-1) were all victorious.
The No. 2-doubles tandem of Delk and Massey won 8-1 while the No. 3-doubles team of Kooyers and junior Laura Helm were victorious 8-5. The No. 1-doubles pair of Haddad and Hedgebeth lost 8-9 (3-7).
Indiana Wesleyan improves to 14-1 this year and 1-1 in spring competition.
The Wildcats return to action at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, as Indiana Wesleyan hosts St. Mary’s (Ind.) College at the Sutter Tennis Center.
