MARION, Ind. -- The NCCAA named three Indiana Wesleyan University men’s basketball student-athletes to the Midwest All-Region Team, according to the region.
Headlining the list is junior guard Antonio Murrell who earned All-Region First Team status. Murrell leads the Wildcats in scoring with 17.5 points per game. He also contributes 5.1 rebounds and 2.8 assists while shooting 45.2-percent from 3-point range.
Junior guard Jon Moon and sophomore center Zach Coverstone were named to the All-Region Second Team.
Moon is second on IWU with 13.7 points and third with 4.0 rebounds. Moon averages 2.8 3-pointers per game. On the season, he is 92.3-percent from the free throw line.
Coverstone adds 11.1 points and a team-leading 8.3 rebounds for the Wildcats. He shoots 56.1-percent from the floor and has seven double-doubles on the season.
Indiana Wesleyan returns to action next week as the Wildcats participate in the NCCAA National Championship. The Wildcats open the tournament at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18 against Geneva (Pa.) College in Oakland City, Indiana.
