Lisa Thompson earned NCCAA All-American accolades.

MARION, Ind. -- Senior center Lisa Thompson highlighted the Indiana Wesleyan University women’s basketball honors for the National Christian College Athletic Association postseason awards.

Thompson was named NCCAA All-American First Team in addition to being named NCCAA Midwest Region Player of the Year. Thompson led the Wildcats with 14.4 points and 5.9 rebounds during the season.

Fellow senior Brooke Amstutz earned NCCAA All-American Honorable Mention. Amstutz was second on the team with 12.4 points per game while adding 3.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists.

Five Wildcats were honored for their success in the classroom. Thompson and Amstutz were joined on the Scholar-Athlete list with junior center Kyra Pappas, junior guard Jena Schafer and junior guard Tessa Umbaugh.

Indiana Wesleyan completed their season with a 28-6 record.
