MARION, Ind. -- Grant County resident Curtis Matteson has signed a NAIA letter of intent to continue his baseball career at Indiana Wesleyan University.
The six foot left handed pitcher is from Upland, Indiana and is home schooled.
"Curtis will be counted on log important innings for us as a freshman. He possesses good pop on his fastball and throws a very effective changeup,” quoted IWU head coach Mark DeMichael. “Curtis is also a great student and a quality Christian young man."
Matteson plays for the Indianapolis Home School Kings during the spring and the Indy Mustangs during the summer. He also works out at the Round Trippers Academy in Westfield, Indiana.
Curtis is the son of Larry and Beth Matteson.
