MARION, Ind. -- Spring Arbor (Mich.) University defeated Indiana Wesleyan University 5-4 in the opening match of the spring for the men’s tennis team.

The No. 2-doubles tandem of freshmen Matt Pederson and Micah May won as did the No. 3-doubles team of senior Drew Dawkins and freshman Austin Longberg.

In singles action, the Wildcats’ Pederson won in No. 1 action and May captured the win in No. 5 play.

The Wildcats return to action at 4 p.m. on Friday, April 4, as Indiana Wesleyan travels to battle Cedarville (Ohio) University.
