
MARION, Ind. -- The Indiana Wesleyan University women’s tennis team prevailed 6-3 over NCAA Division I foe Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis on Saturday afternoon.
With the win, Indiana Wesleyan improves to 16-1 this year and 3-1 during the spring season.
IUPUI handed the Wildcats three match victories due to no participants. The two teams split the other six matches.
Indiana Wesleyan earned a victory in No. 2-doubles as the duo of freshman Eva Delk and freshman Lisa Massey won 8-5.
In singles action, Delk won No. 3 play by a score of 6-4, 6-4. Senior Brittany Raymond captured a point for the Wildcats in No. 4 action with a 6-1, 6-1 victory.
Indiana Wesleyan returns to the court at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, as the Wildcats host Taylor (Ind.) University.
